About MS
Mundie Source was founded on June 11, 2008, about a week after Dorothy read City of Bones and two days after she read City of Ashes. When the idea was conceptualized, she thought of a place for fans to find information about the books and to get all of the most recent news, since there was so little about these incredible books on the internet. Shortly after the website went live, Cassandra Clare added the link to her signature on the Google Group, which helped to bring nearly three hundred hits per day to the website.
Since then, Mundie Source has been named as the official Mortal Instruments fan site. Now that The Mortal Instruments has expanded from a trilogy to a six-book series, Dorothy has added information for these new additions as well as pages for The Infernal Devices and looks forward to the new fans, as well as old, who continue to make Mundie Source a successful endeavor.
About Dorothy
Dorothy is a college student and aspiring Young Adult author from New Jersey. She was introduced to The Mortal Instruments by her sorority sister, Amy, after they were at Applebee’s discussing some of Cassandra Clare’s other work. She picked up the books shortly after that dinner and, even more shortly after that, Mundie Source was born. MS is not her first website by any means. Dorothy started a Harry Potter RPG when she was 12 years old because she was frustrated with the writing quality of several others, but she eventually found a home at another RPG, so hers came to a close. After that, she ran a website to host her own graphics, music, and writing on for four years until Facebook and MySpace came along and that site sputtered to an end.
When she isn’t digging through Cassandra Clare’s novels for more information for MS, Dorothy can usually be found reading another book or working on the revisions of her first novel, In Due Time, which she finished in May of 2009. Aside from writing and reading, she also likes to watch the VlogBrothers on YouTube and stalk Maureen Johnson on Twitter.
If you want to e-mail her with general questions or comments about the site, you can reach her at Dorothy@MundieSource.Net. She can also be found and contacted on Twitter.
